Great Crossing Hat Co. & Mercantile was born from a love of timeless style, meaningful traditions, and the belief that every hat tells a story.
My love for hats has personal roots. My grandfather, who was from Puerto Rico, wore a classic fedora and a straw to work in his yard. To him, a hat was more than something you wore. It was part of his identity, his heritage, and his story.
Located in the heart of downtown Georgetown, Kentucky, our shop takes its name from the historic Great Crossing, where buffalo once crossed Elkhorn Creek.
Today, we bring that same appreciation for heritage and individuality to every hat we create. From custom-shaped cowboy hats and fedoras to personalized bands, feathers, and branding, every detail is an opportunity to tell your story.

My Hat Masters Journey
My passion for hat making took me to Colorado, where I attended Hat Masters School and became a certified hat maker. There, I learned the art of traditional hat shaping and craftmanship. Today, I bring those skills home to Georgetown, creating personalized hats that reflect each customer’s individual style.
